David Nielsen, Director of Data Analytics

David Nielsen has over 25 years’ experience with working with clinical claims data.  He started his career with the one of the larger local health plan where he was responsible for regulatory reporting, clinical incentives, special investigations analysis and the reporting of outcome measures to physicians, employer groups, the New York State Department of Health, NCQA and CMS.

He has worked with multiple IPAs, competing with PCIPA,  where he oversaw their internal operations, data analytics, payments and compliance programs.   He also spent several years managing the daily operation and strategic direction of the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Center for Health Outcomes and Payment Innovation.

Mr. Nielsen has been a featured speaker at multiple national conference focusing on using analytical tools to predict final success with an Accountable Care Organization and on Physician Engagement.
